Content Warnings

If you’re reading this, it’s most likely because you appreciate knowing in advance of any content in my books that might be difficult, upsetting, or triggering for you to read. Or maybe you’ve just seen a new page on my site and clicked out of curiosity. If you’re the latter, thank you for checking this page out, but you might prefer to hit the back button now, as some of these warnings may contain mild spoilers.

My books have been described as light-hearted, low angst, feel good. Even fluffy. All that is true, because I write the sort of books I like to read which are all of the above. That doesn’t mean they’re a mix of fairy floss, sugar candy, and set in worlds where nothing bad happens. Bad shit happens. Even to good people. Especially to good people.

The last thing I want is to trigger a reader with one of my books. Our mental health should be protected, looked after, cosseted–in cotton wool if that’s what it takes. Especially now.

So below is a list of content warnings for all of my novels for those who want them. I’ve chosen not to put them at the front of my books so that those who want to avoid them won’t inadvertently see them. And many people don’t read the front matter anyway, especially when an e-book dumps you at the top of page 1.

Most of the warnings are mild. Be aware that all of my books contain references to social alcohol use.
